The Portuguese pilot was implemented at Escola Profissional de Campanhã in Porto on July 2026. It involved 29 VET students from Informatics, Media and International Relations programmes, bringing together learners with different technical, communication and internationally oriented profiles. The pilot introduced biomimicry as a practical approach to sustainability and nature-inspired problem solving within vocational education.

Virtual Campus staff first demonstrated the LET’S MIMIC platform and explained how to access and use the Portuguese-language challenges and case studies. Students then worked mainly in pairs and proceeded independently through the activities during the classroom session. This format combined initial facilitator support with group autonomy, allowing learners to discuss the proposed challenges and explore the available resources.
